 Welcome

Saturday 20
This months photo is of  a stained glass piece done by my multi talented friend Maggie that made last months necklace.

After more testing and doctors visits I ended up at Cardiology with a diagnosis of a reaction to my blood pressure medication and a long list of cardiac tests. Most of the testing was done at the hospital yesterday. I'll finish the 24 hour monitor test today then get all of the results Monday.
There are good days and bad days but over all I do think I'm improving. Hopefully soon I'll be back to my normal routine and working on my art.
I have been working on a painting during some of my good days. I have not painted in years so this has been fun and most interesting. Thanks to Wendy for talking me into this project.  It has a long way to go but I'll be posting progress photos.
It is a two by four foot canvas that will hang above a doorway high on a large wall in the great room.
The first photo shows my progress to the point where I was completely stumped on what should go on the other side. The original concept was a realistic pasture with a barn in the background with a few goats and chickens in front of it. The three large goats in the foreground and maybe plants in the left foreground.
When I started sketching it out on the canvas all of a sudden the goats were very large and the rest of the composition seemed boring.
In my next composition only the front goat was to have horns and the goat on the left was going to be a doe instead of a buck. The paining didn't agree.
The second photo is where the painting is after I worked on it today. The hornless goat on the far right will be getting horns. The hornless goat in the center needs more work on her eyes and jaw line. Once I have the whole composition worked out I will start  repainting with color and working the background.
